Ideal for demanding workloads, multi-region deployments, and serious scaling.

  • Build a Managed cloud server
  • Choose optimisation profile & version
  • Select CPU/RAM spec (builder may recommend higher RAM for some profiles)
  • Set SSD disk size (GB)
  • Estimate pay-as-you-go bandwidth (monthly)
  • Choose AWS location/region
  • Daily backups included

Which cloud server do I need?

Start with the platform that best matches your needs, then choose CPU/RAM/disk based on what you’re hosting. If you’re unsure, tell us what you’re running and we’ll recommend the right setup.

Pick your platform

  • AI1Host Cloud — best default choice for most customers: fast, flexible, and great value.
  • AWS — ideal when you need enterprise scale, specific regions, or you’re integrating with AWS services.
  • Google Cloud — great for performance-driven modern apps, global reach, and scalable platforms.

Choose the right spec (simple rules of thumb)

  • Small brochure site / simple WordPress → start low, then scale as traffic grows.
  • Business WordPress with plugins + forms → allow more RAM headroom for smoother performance.
  • WooCommerce / ecommerce → prioritise more CPU + RAM (checkouts and background jobs are spiky).
  • Multiple sites / agency hosting → aim higher for consistent performance across clients.
  • APIs / apps / workers → CPU matters; add RAM if you’re caching or running multiple services.
  • Large media libraries → increase disk size (and consider offloading media to object storage if you go big).

Bandwidth estimate

  • If you’re unsure, start with a conservative estimate and adjust later.
  • High-traffic content sites and image-heavy pages usually need more bandwidth than brochure sites.
  • Ecommerce can spike seasonally — plan for peaks rather than averages.

Backups: what should I choose?

  • Daily backups (included) — fine for most sites.
  • Pro Backups / Timeline Backups Pro — recommended for ecommerce, business email, and mission-critical websites.
  • If you update frequently (plugins, themes, content), Pro gives you much better “oops recovery”.
